KeepBase is a non-profit database, allowing online registration of living beings in captivity: from public zoos to our home.
By keeping track of those specimens, their breedings and generations, it is possible to preserve well identified strains, close to what they once were in nature, optimizing genetic recombination and taking advantage of very small genetic pools.
